SYNOPSIS: The Gibson’s-middle aged father Loren, mother Annetta, teen son Scottie, early20’s daughters Sue and Kim and elderly grandmother Millie Mae—are a family in crises. Loren an alcoholic, who despite attempts at counseling, has a hair-trigger temper and hands to match. He lives under the veil of ignorance that allows him to watch his family’s destruction without any understanding of how or why they are headed in their downward spiral. His son Scottie has inherited his father’s anger and violent ways; his daughter Sue trades her virginity to the fast lane and a dangerous flirtation with AIDS. Loren is enraged by his wife’s seeming “dependence” on religion to get her through life’s every day problems, including verbal a d physical abuse suffered at his hands. During his ranting, Loren suggest sarcastically that Satan exists only in the mind of man and there is no Spiritual realm that evil attempts to control. He unwittingly unleashes the evil demons of Satan down upon him in the catastrophic climax. Faced with the death he calls upon God. When he does not get an immediate response, he chooses to join the boy in death—God has other plans. His eyes are finally opened when he has a vision into the spirit realm of the battle being fought for his soul. God shows him the fierce fighting among angels, demons and principalities. Frightened, Loren seeks help from the church and upon convincing his family that he has change, they are reconciled.
