'There is a curse in the land and all the male offspring un the Umueze village are dying without cause. The only apparent heir to the throne dies prematurely. The people; including the Igwe (ruler) are grieving and they want answers and solutions to their predicaments. But what they fail to remember is that the ways of the gods are not the ways of men. Finally the gods spoke and revealed the cause of their misfortune. The late Igwe (ruler) made a promise to the gods in the far away land of the dwarfs. Did he fulfill it? And what was the promise? The mistakes of the past has come back to hunt them.
